Privacy

Sankhya collects nothing about you. Everything you count stays on your phone.

Effective 27 October 2026. This policy covers the Sankhya app for Android (package org.sankhya.sankhya) and this website.

What the app keeps, and where

Your sankalpas, your counts, the mantras you write and your settings are stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. They are never uploaded. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting.

Uninstalling Sankhya, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes all of it.

What the app downloads

Sankhya connects to the internet for two things only:

These are ordinary downloads. Nothing about you or your practice is sent with them. As with any web request, GitHub's servers see your phone's IP address; GitHub's own privacy statement covers what it does with that.

Permissions

Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself; no server sends them.

Exporting your practice

Your practice can be exported as a spreadsheet (CSV). The file is created on your phone and handed to Android's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it.

This website

This site is hosted by GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies, has no analytics, and loads nothing from any other service: its fonts and scripts are served from this site. If you search the mantra library, the page may fetch the latest list from GitHub. A setting for page motion is kept in your browser's local storage if you choose one.

Children

Sankhya collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Because the app collects nothing, a change could only ever describe a new download or permission.
